Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American singer and actress is a former model. Kotero was the female lead singer for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. She was one of several female artists who benefited of Prince's involvement throughout the 1980s. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress who was born in the city of Santa Monica, California in 1959. Her beginnings included acting as a model for television. Kotero was the female lead for Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at the time he changed his name). In the same year, she was replaced by Vanity as a member of the trio Vanity 6 and was a part of them under the brand name Apollonia 6 in the film.
