
Stevland Morris (ne Judkins, May 13 1950), better known as Stevie Wonder is an American musician and singer. It is said that he is recognized as an innovator in a range of musical genres such as blues and rhythm as well as gospel, jazz soul gospel, and funk. A virtual one-man-band, Wonder's use of synthesizers and other electronic musical instruments during the 1970s transformed the norms of R&B. He helped to bring such genres into the age of albums by releasing albums that were both coherent and constant. Wonder, who was blind from birth, signed with Motown's Tamla label at the age of 11 years old. He was later given the name "professional" Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's critical success was at its peak in the 1970s. His "classic period" began in 1972, with the release of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter with "Superstition", which is among the most distinctive and well-known examples of the sound of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. He received the Grammy Award as Album of the year for Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingnessthe First Finale (1974) and Songs in the Key of Life ( 1976). This makes him the holder of the tie record of the most Album of the year awards with three. Wonder is the only artist to win the award three times in succession with consecutive albums. Wonder began his "commercial period" in the late 1980s. the artist had his biggest albums and highest levels of fame, had increased sales of albums, charitable participation, high-profile collaborations
